The the CF "tooth" part. Kind of hard to tell though unless you really read it and notice that that is the only CF part. I'm guessing buyer thought it was the whole grille assembly? Buyer should have studied what he was buying before dropping ~$200.

Edit: also says upper part ONLY in description. Buyer is dumb.

Tell the buyer to shove it, he should have read what he was buying. Do a second chance offer to the second highest bidder.

And herein lies the problem with eBay.

The photo shows the entire grill and the descriptions talks about the "upper trim piece."

What is the upper grill? Is there a lower grill (below the license plate) and is the entire grill above the license plate the "upper trim piece?"

I'm not sure that we can assume that buyers are savvy or as knowledgeable as the posters here. Accordingly, by adding a picture of the full upper grill you may well have confused the buyer.

You probably should have included a picture of just the bit you were selling.

while i agree with Ceb, ignorance is not bliss. if you are unsure, ask. the outer trim is not CF, there seems to be an inconsistency if they think that is the upper grill because you said it is real CF

i would also understand it as the blade of the grill

Yeah, the buyer should have asked but I suspect that he was just clueless.

Not really, because a well worded complaint to eBay could cause the seller issues.

This is why I hate selling stuff on eBay these days, because their claims/complaints process is significantly skewed toward the buyer's interests. I understand that this is how it is in retail generally, but it seems that on eBay, for every crappy seller, there are about 10 deadbeat buyers.

One problem is people don't read the descriptions. I myself have this issue where I look at the pics but its only ever been on sub ~$20 purchases so hasn't been a big deal.

However eBay mobile apps need to get with the program they deprecate the necessity of reading the description by making it a link not on the listing and in the same font as the seller and the bidding activity.
