Navigation Help
Navigation Help
Hey everyone...So I've had my car for just over a week now, and everything is going well thus far. I've definitely never spend so much time learning new things, but I dig that kind of stuff and so I'm really enjoying the learning curve!
Anyway, I was driving on Long Island the other day, and I was heading to a nearby Starbucks. I knew exactly where it was; but I thought I'd try and set the navigation to "direct" me there. I don't know if it's information overload, but I just couldn't figure it out. I couldn't figure out what category it fell into, and I couldn't figure out how else to get it without an address or phone number.
I'm going on a cross country road trip in about a month and I know that my friend and I will be stopping for coffee (Dunkin or Starbucks) throughout the trip, but as of today, I don't know how to best find them.
I've been reading the navigation manual online, but I think I must be reading over something obvious...can someone share some tips (or simply the obvious) with me?
Thanks in advance!

On the main screen you can search what I think is a "special category" and enter coffee. Then I think it will show you what category it is in too. It's not as easy to use as my Garmin Nuvi was, but seems to be more accurate and provide better routes. Calling a store by just pushing a button is a great future.
Cool - thanks for the quick reply. I'll have to take a look for this when I get home this evening. I knew there had to be a way, I just couldn't seem to get my mind around which way that was! Thanks!
You want to search by keyword. starting with category: restaurant does not work well. I've figured it out once (but can't exactly remember). Get down into a screen where you can enter a place name by keyword, and start typing STARB...etc. That is how I found my coffee!
