Navigation for Dummies Question..

Navigation for Dummies Question..
Okay when I enter a destination by going thru options like-place, bank, resturants etc. it works fine,
But when I do a specific search for instance-Applebee's, it pulls up an Applebee's in New York, and I am located in Atlanta.
I have my home settings set, so I am not sure why it would pull random locations all over the country and not the closest to me..
anyone have any answers...hence the title of this thread, I am not a pro at Navigation by any stretch..lol
