Low Production of TSX W/6MT?

I've been shopping for a TL 6MT or TSX 6MT and can't find a manual TSX within 150 miles of where I live. (Indy)
There are only about 10 within 300 miles. Plenty of autos out there.
Is there a production hold on the 6MT's or are they normally that scarce?

I think it's normal. MT is pretty rare.

Maybe Colin will be nice and do a search for you.

6MT model is pretty rare, I think they account for less than 10% of TSX sales.

When I went looking for the 6MT Tech CBP model last year, my dealer had to go to another province and shipped 700 miles back on a flatbed as there were none in my own province.

I ordered a 2010 TSX MT, Palladium Tech from a dealer in NJ and it took over 3 months to get here. The dealer sent me the build date about a month and a half after I put a deposit down. It took about 5-6 weeks to get to the dealer after that. I wasn't in a rush to buy a new car and I wanted the car with practically zero miles, which is why I was willing to wait.

Coming from an '06 TSX AT, the manual is much more fun to drive and basically a completely different car, in a good way.

I too have heard how rare the 6 M/T is...especially in the popular colors like white and black. Luckily for me they had one in stock ready to go at my local dealership and I picked it up the day I signed the papers

funny how this is different in other places. I contacted the importer, and they told me that they did not import any AT in the last year to the whole country. I had to go 400 km to other country to have my AT. In fact I am going for my car in 5 hours!! Can't wait! And wish me luck because its snowy.

^ That's true. In Japan, you can only order an Accord in 5AT with the 2.4L Petrol engine.

In Australia, only the 2.4L petrol version but you can have 6MT on the Euro and Euro Luxury, but 5AT only on the top line Euro Luxuary Navi.

In Europe, you can choose 2.2 iDTEC, 2.0iVTEC and 2.4 iVTEC in either 5AT or 6MT.

I actually got a good deal on my MT because it was sitting on the lot for awhile (the only MT they had, no Tech). I didn't care about the Tech, I will just get a Garmin.

TSX MT is rare, I have yet to see one in person (2nd gen). My old 04 TSX was MT also, there wasn't one in blue and navi in the entire state of California when i was shopping for one, I had someone import it for me, waited 6 weeks for it, but it was well worth it. I love Honda manuals!

i have a black on black tech 09 6MT. I went to the dealer, told them what i wanted and i was in luck, they had one right on the lot. I went to 2 different dealers and they both had 6mt, one had it in white and one in black.. obv went with the black one. I woultnd have gotten the car if i couldnt get it in the 6mt due to the poor results i heard about the 5at.

agreed. 6MT is totally a different drive (in a good way). Love the fact that it makes the car more "rare" as well...

I think the stat is something like only 6-8% of TSX's are 6MT...

I wouldn't settle for anything less than 6MT PWP with black interior. Dealer went out, found one in another state, and got it to me within 2 weeks.

Orderd my 10 CBP base 6spd on 9/16 and tracked it all the way from japan, finally showed up at my dealer on 11/25 with 1.2 miles on it. Went through about an eight month search for a low mile, "good condition" 03 CLS 6spd in Anthracite Metallic and only came up with finding about three with high miles and in "beat up" condition.... After all that b/s and deciding that it wasn't worth my effort to find a CLS-6 I was all about just ordering a new TSX. It is nice having a low production vehicle though, also rocking the Garmin.

"Bought" a 6MT from another city, (had all the finance paperwork and all) but in Lou's color (I've blocked the color name out of my mind since I got fecked)

Got fecked, took one of two 6MT Tech in three states (at the time) CBP.
