K24Z3 Engine Swap
Hello Everyone,
I am new to the form but I wanted to get some feedback from the users on a potential swap.
I have a 2009 Acura TSX with approx 280,000kms. I recently picked up a spare engine, rebuilt it and swapped out my original engine due to high oil consumption (stuck rings).
The car was in an accident early in its life and the repairs done were horrible. I live in Alberta where we have harsh winters and the rust on my car from the poor repairs is getting very bad. My rocker panels will be gone soon, rust around the wheel wells, driver door is really bad and front fenders bottom clips have rusted off.
The car drives perfect and is very comfortable. The new engine is doing well but the body wont last. The subframe is exposed and will be damaged soon enough.
I was curious what I could swap this engine/transmission into that would be relatively easy? I often see cheap TL's for sale cause of transmission issues and very high mileage 1st gen RDX's that are in good shape and relatively cheap.
thanks for the feedback.
