Just Recieved My UR Pulleys from Throwdown Performance!

I ordered a set of UR pulleys from mark at throwdown performance and they arrived today. Shipping and communication with mark was top notch! So i go to pick up the package and it felt like nothing was in them! Pulleys are so damn light! I will be getting them installed on saturday so i will be sure to review how they feel. The instructions say it takes 5 days to feel the full gains so well see how it goes! check back in a couple days

Ronald what are your thoughts on the pulleys? Where did you get them installed and how much did the charge you?

I installed them at home.. Make sure you have the car on 6th gear and some one stepping on the break and put a screw driver in the whole for the crank pulley. Alternator pulley is a tight fit just make sure you take out the alternator ( it's a bitch to but back on since i have big hands)..lol pulleys are super light and throttle response is improved mpg goes up by 2.00 bang for the buck.

Wow you installed them yourself! I'm having a shop do it just because I don't feel like dealing with the hassle. I have an at not a 6spd. What tool did you use to remove it maybe I'll give it a shot. Did u use a big breaker bar and stuff give me some confidence to try it myself and I probably will do it tonight after work lol

I got my pulleys installed Wednesday. I took them to a shop to be installed, but I know the owner so I got it taken care of free of charge. Anyway.... The only thing I can really notice is that the car pulls a little harder. I'm still feeling them out.

you're still going to have to "break" the pulley loose.
by cranking the engine once, the torque will loosen the bolt.

What do I need to disconnect before using the starter method so the engine doesn't start running?

we do have a search function here on azine.
Search for Pulley installs on the 3G TL side, lots of members have done it and written up DIY's.

hope this helps, OP.

I'm not saying I feel gains, it just seems like the car pulls a little harder. I can't explain it man, it just feels different.

Well considering the exploding russian supercharger and the Coming Soon!TM ct-e piece are essentially both useless to us, i dont really consider them of any real value/help

09Acura definitely has Naturally Aspirated performance on top

Alternator pulley bolt wasnt stripped like i thought it was. The belt that was supplied by throwdown was the correct belt just needed to be routed differently than the stock belt pattern. i will write up a review later but these pulleys are amazing in 2nd and 3rd gear!
