Does the silver paint/plating on the interior door handle rub off over time or is silver color come from the plastic resin? Ours looks cheap and doesn't look as nice as the plated one in a TL. You can even see the parting line from the injection molding process on ours. I always worry that the silver paint will rub off eventually.

 

There's a TSB about the paint coming off. The paint will come off if in routine contact with moisturizers, sunscreen, cosmetics, etc. but Acura will replace them if it happens under warranty.

However, in their defense, sunscreen is some nasty stuff when it comes in contact with any type of paint on plastic.
