Hit concrete object at 50-60mph, damaged rim, where to get spare
Over the weekend I hit a concrete block on the freeway at 50-60mph, I was not the only one who hit it, the car in front did, the 2 cars behind me did so too. I was the one with the least damage. My front right rim got dented. I was able to drive home.
Car in front had his whole underside ripped apart (muffer and transmission area), car behind me drivers side wheel bent, tire busted, not sure what else, the guy behind him, he was not in teh same place where we were parked.
Mine, my front passenger rim is dented, tire has a nice bulge. Rear tire has a bulge, but rim is fine. It was checked by AAA guys who came to rescue car 1 and 3, i was able to drive away, put on the spare later this morning.
I called teh insurance to report a claim fearing more damage than just rims. The car seems to be tracking straight and I cant see any damage underside, but I cant tell if the control arms are bent. It was a hard hit..
I checked ebay for a new rim, remanufactured ones are about 275 a peice, not sure what OEM from teh dealer will be. Any suggestions on what else I should have checked while the car is in the shop?

just have the car fully jacked up, and anything exposed, inspect. i would suspect that there must be some damage to the plasti fender finer, the lower engine cover(thing that covers where your oil is), or any of the other side on the right side, since both wheels were affected. have your alignment checked too just in case. good luck
