Question Help with TSB's

I've kinda been lagging A LOT on the car since i got my motorcycle but now the weather has been rainy so i decided to tend to her needs.

Has anyone gone to their dealer for a TSB issue? How do you bring it up? How much does it cost? What do they ask? Should I print out the bulletin? And should i go at it one at a time because i have 7 bulletins i'd feel like an a** just walking in with all of them.

Thank you

its a bit tricky....you cant just go in and say 'please do ALL the TSB on my vehicle'. they will only do the ones that have the symptoms shown and found by them.

i am working on getting the lower ball joint one on mine.
while my car was at the dealer for something else i had them LOOK AT this creaking noise in front end when i go over speed bumps and such. they said 'all inspected OK'. so now I opened a case with Customer care. my next communication with customer care will be a copy of the TSB saying my symptoms are the same; please ask the dealer to perform this TSB.

others may have GOOD relationships with thier dealer and stealer will do them just for asking......

i never had an issue about bringing in a printed copy of the TSB to the service advisor. i just tell them i have a problem that sounds a lot like the problem stated in this TSB - check it out and let me know what you find out.

they will never perform a TSB without verifying you actually have that problem, so don't just go in and demand that they do it. and don't waste their time with a pile of TSBs if you're not experiencing any of the problems.

if you're under warranty, TSBs should be free of charge. if you're no longer under warranty, they might still do it for free as good will.

Well, TSBs are not recalls and dont treat it as such. Its just a source of reference for the techs to follow for certain repairs. If you are experiencing a problem, the techs will know if there is bulletin to fix that problem. I dont bring copies of the bulletins. I just use the verbage in the bulletin to kind of lead them into it when describing 'my concern'.

yep....

also, what I did was review all TSBs on my car and try to inspect for each issue to see if it is in fact going on with my car...if so, then bring it up to the dealer.
