Help with tire choice

I've got a brand new set of 18's in the basement just waiting for some summer/all season rubber.

I originally thought I'd do some dedicated summer tires like Yokohama S-Drive but treadlife considerations are making me look more into performance all seasons like the Toyo Proxes 4 and especially Yokohama's new tire, the Envigor which replace the popular AVID.

First question, would 225/45/18 be the best +1 tire size for the TSX? I definitely don't want that bulge at the bottom you get when the tire is too wide for the rim. The rim's 18x7.5

Second, anyone got a better suggestion for a long-lasting but good-performing all-season?

Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport. Yes, it's a summer tire, but it's got a treadwear rating of 340, which means it'll last you a long time:

225/45/18 would be a good choice, it's 0.46% difference compare to stock. You can go slightly wider 235/45/18 on your 7.5" rim, and the difference is 1.82% (That's the size of tire Acura used on their 18" accessories rim which is also 7.5" wide).

Use the tire size calculator to find out: http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp

haha sorry Tish. If if makes you feel any better your ride is still looking sick.

Thanks tech, I want the difference to be small so I'm leaning towards 225.

Still got my questions though--would 225 or 235 look better? Anyone got any firsthand experience? I really don't want the tires to bulge.

Re: Potenzas, I know they're a great tire but these all-seasons will last even longer.

Suggestions?

its not the end of the world lol,

but i got the bridgestone ponteza pole position all weather tires and they have lasted forevveeerr and i drive like an idiot so i think the reas960's wouldn't be a bad choice. probably cheaper for a standard 18 tire too then my low profile 19
