Has anyone removed their 2011 silver fog light garnish / trim?
Was just poking around and couldn't get mine off. Didn't try terribly hard, but I tried a bit of prying with a flathead and didn't get anywhere, I'm guessing the bumper pay have to come off?
I'm thinking of sandblasting the silver finish (if the plastic underneath is black) or painting them flat black.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

ed_69 is right, i believe you must remove the bumper and remove a screw or something before that will pop out

You "do not" have to pull off the bumper...they will pop off...no fastner or screw is there...I work for an Acura Service department...we laugh because they almost pop off if a speed bump is hit too hard :-)

I taped up around the cover and went in with a flathead gently prying around it and I couldn't get it off. I'm just being extra cautious as I don't want to kill the paint.

If anyone is interested, yes the bumper has to come off to get these trim pieces off. They are held in by 3 screws each and the foglight assembly has to come out (4 screws) before you can get to one of them. The pieces are actually chrome plated, not painted, so I'll be claling the plater tomorrow to have the chrome stripped.

Just finished up, looks MUCH Better.
Had to peel the chrome off with a jack-knife, then sand, adhesion promoter, and bumper black paint. Unfortunately the covers are grey plastic, not black. The bumper paint matches almost exactly - not sure how long it will last down there, but we'll see.
