Has anyone painted thier calipers?
I am thinking about having mine painted red and logo'd with an Acura logo....has anyone had this done recently? Should I take it to a body shop?? I don't know how to do this on my own and don't wanna risk screwing it up. Anyone have any pics of painted calipers?

I've done it in the past for various cars.. Get some high Heat Engine Paint and some high heat clear acrylic, paint, polish, add logo, paint clear acrylic over it, polish... Then keep clean for the next 3 years, in which you'll have to wirebrush it off, and redo it..
Too much work. But it's pretty easy.

LMAO @ paying someone to paint your calipers.
Have you never in your life spraypainted anything before? If you're too scared to take off the caliper to do it properly, you can just mask off with tape and newspaper everything around the calipers and paint them that way too. I've painted calipers many times in the past. Super easy. Don't waste money paying someone else to do it when you can do it for less than $10.
I haven't done it on this car because I have a Rotora front big brake kit and the caliper is already powdercoated red, and I just don't feel it necessary to paint the rears.

The only thing I'd add is to clean them off first using some brake cleaner. Paint can't adhere to brake dust.
Definitely don't pay someone to do something as simple as this. If you can change a flat tire you can do this on your own.
IMO painted calipers cheapen the look of our car unless you've got BBK or you're going for a really sporty look but to each his own.

It took me and my friend a total of four hours to paint the calipers, this included taking off and putting on the tires, cleaning, and the drying time between coats.
it was really simple.
I used the duplicolor red kit to paint it and it looks great.
I was also thinking about doing the ACURA logo but it wouldnt fit properly.
