Has anyone bought stuff from here?

Hey guys,

I'm looking to get the TEINs for my car and I've been doing some researching on prices and reputable online stores. I did a Google Shopping search and I bumped into this online store call 4x4 Jeep Truck Accessories (LINK HERE) and the prices are about 10-15% cheaper than others. On that site, the TEIN Basic cost $607.50 (LINK HERE) and the TEIN SS cost $810 (LINK HERE). So my question is, has anyone here heard or bought stuff from them? I did a BBB search and I didn't find the company nor complaints on Google. I would support our sponsors on Azine like HeelToe & Excelerate Performance but the prices on that site are very competitive. What do you guys think?

call and ask. it is best to check if the company is still operating..

alot of companies now are closing but still have their website running for some apparent reason.

I just called them and no one picked up...it directed me right away to a voicemail that says to leave your name and phone number and they'll call you back. Sounded kinda shady to me. I think I'll pass on this one.

If it is 1xRacing like the e-mail states, then they are legit. As far as the 4x4 store, I have no prior experience with them, so I cannot comment.

I just went to the 1xRacing website and the website layout looks the same as 4x4JeepTruckAccessories. I think they are the same people then. Something I did noticed are the price differences. On 4x4 - Super Street cost: $810, while 1xRacing cost: $874.80. On 4x4 - Basics cost: $607.50, while 1xRacing cost: $688.50.

I'm going do a little more researching to see if they are the same company. I know that some companies designed different looking websites to cater certain demographics.

Pretty sure this is the same place that BenBen01 and others got their Megans. Apparently, if you use one of their other "shells" apparently they honor the lower prices.

thats weird that a 4x4 company carries tsx suspension..

i have a feeling it will be "out of stock" when you try to order.
id give it a go.
ive ordered from shadier places with great results.

That website seems pretty legit. I would trust them and give them my credit card information ASAP.

I just did some research on the domain name registry and it seems like they are registered under the same people from 1xRacing. I don't think I'm too worry about it if I were to put it on my credit card.

Slightly off topic here, I emailed TEIN asking when they are releasing the new Street Advance & Street Basis for our car, they said it is currently in development and should be out in half to half a year. That's exciting news!

Just make sure you confirm what the dispute time frame is with your cc company. If the goods aren't delivered towards the end of that window, file a claim. Most cc companies will be on the side of their account holders, and in general, buyers have the advantage if anything goes wrong. Hope it doesn't come down to that, but you would likely be protected if so.

As a matter of fact you don't even need to call us! We have a price match link on the left hand side of our site!

Given that the Basic is not even available for this car any more I would say this website is probably pretty out of date.

I would not call the price they have 'competitive' as much as maybe 'wrong.'

*****D'oh! Just noticed you have a 2g TSX Anyway, use us for price matching. We will research the vendor and the price and if we can match it or beat it we will. And if it is not legit, we will let you know.

This, what seems like ok advice, is pretty non-sensical. What you are saying is, to buy into a deal that you suspect is not legit (why would any intelligent person do this) and you are going to lean on the credit card company just in case your better judgement is right and you really do get ripped off.

Why not avoid wasting a bunch of time and paperwork on the part of yourself and the credit card company, and the entire service industry who needs to absorb the cost of your actions, and just buy from a reasonable vendor with a reasonable price?

You are witnessing something really interesting here. One thing you may not be aware of here is that BOTH websites are actually the same site. In fact, there are dozens if not hundreds of sites out there that are all the same, just with a different set of graphics. There is a company out there that all they do is lease a shopping cart prefilled with parts and pricing.

The owners of the sites you are seeing don't actually own any of that content. They don't really own the sites they only own the domain names. We bought and host our own website on our own dedicated server. This is a tremendous cost to us however it allows us to do all sorts of cool customizations, such as the afore-mentioned price match module.

Just an FYI - The Tein SA & SB are already available for the 08-12 Accords which share the same chassis as our TSX's. No modifications needed for install!!!

They may have some dimensional changes though, and Tein may be changing the spring rates or valving. Maybe it fits but Tein sometimes likes to do a little more than that to make a product for a car.

guys I can say that I used the price match and Marcus was very fair in his price matching. I always prefer to help a forum sponsor and HeelToe does a ton for the TSX community so I made my purchase through them.

Like Marcus says try them out and give them a chance to get your biz. Plus you wuill get continued support and product knowledge from him.

cheers/

I couldn't imagine the changes being too dramatic though. I just have no patients.

I meant patience, of course... because I'm not a doctor.
