Hard start in the morning
I did a search and fell upon a post tsxgurl had about the car failing to start. I attempted to start-up my car this morning (30 degrees) and it cranked over the first time no problem. I then shut off the engine 30 seconds later realizing i need to keys to open my door because i left the bucket of hot water inside my house(to melt the ice on the windows). After melting the ice, I attempt to start the car again and it took a while to turnover.I was a bit confused so I turned of the engine and reattempted and it was the same outcome, a long turnover. I then drive it 20 minutes to school. I restarted the car twice when I parked and the engine turned over without any problem. Is this common and normal with our inline 4 engines? Thanks

I believe it happens when it's cold. It happened to me a couple days ago when there was a snow storm my area. I also noticed that it happens more past midnight if I park out on the street, when temperature falls to 0-2 degrees celsius. It almost never happens when I park in the garage though.

Every Honda I have ever owned has behaved strangely when starting and then trying to restart in a relatively short amount of time. 1993 Accord, 2001 Acura Integra Type R, 2005 Honda Civic EX, and now the 2010 TSX. Also my mom has an 04 Accord v-6 and she's actually mentioned the same thing about her car.
Other than the 93 accord they have always started. but the 93 there was an issue with a tempermental relay. Hit or miss.

i had the same problem and i just got tired of it and purchased a yellow top battery, the car cranks faster now and i can leave my radio with amp on for hours without having to deal with the battery draining fast.
the factory battery should be under warranty so you can take it in and get the replace or just purchase a yellow top.
