Had '06 A4, Thinking '09 tsx
Gonna have to take a much longer test drive of the '09 but I was impressed. Unbelievably comfy seats and a really nice driving experience all things considered
Leased an 06 audi a4 cvt for 24 months and it was a fun car...but there were things I didn't like about it (aluminum around gear shift was blinding in So cal sunlight, blind spots, difficult entry/exit, seatbelt beep every 90 seconds with engine on, visor that didn't extend, and some other small things.
I'm gonna see if they'll let me take the demo for a few hours. But it does seem like a near perfect blend of sportiness, price, luxury, fuel economy and reliability.
I still have a 4 runner (110,000 miles) but I miss the fun of the audi.
BTW Audi always gets high marks for their interior, but my initial impression with the 09 tsx is that the tsx is much much nicer than my audi interior was.
Oops...can a mod move this over to the 2nd gen? thanks

I believe I've seen a complaint here regarding the visors not extending on the TSX, too, so I hope that isn't a deal-breaker....lol.
I've always liked Audis, but just can't pull the trigger due to reliability issues.

The most troubling issue i had (auto) was when you put it in reverse from drive it took a while to engage. Tranny prob maybe, but my lease was up.

Why would you go for the 2009 TSX when you could go for the 2009 A4?? The 09 A4's look
and from what I understand, are significantly better than the 09 TSX. Granted, I may be comparing apples to oranges here since the A4 will probably be significantly more when equally equipped when compared to the TSX, but it is definitely a premium I would be willing to pay to a get one of those.
Just a thought.

I'm willing to give up some performance for a bit more creature comforts. After all, I only speed occasionally, but I sit in a car a lot. Also no more maintenance included in A4 last I heard.
One thing I miss with the audi was how that engine just kept accelerating up the longest mountain and highway roads. really good power in the 2000-4000rpm range
