Good Deal or Not on a Demo

I just stopped by the dealership with a friend that was looking for a manual TSX with the tech package. They had a demo on the lot with about 1,400 miles. They offered it to him for $29,700, not including the taxes. It also had the wheel locks and splash guards.

It's under invoice but then again it's a demo with 1,400 miles. What do you guys think?

That sounds a little high. Check out the owner sign-in (sticky) to see what other people have paid for new ones. I got my TSX Tech Auto in April for $29,400. With the 2010's right around the corner and considering that yours is a demo with 1,400 miles, I would expect for you to get a better deal than $29,700... maybe closer to $28,750-$29,000.

Thanks for the feedback. Seems like many of you are getting a brand new car under invoice. I'll check out the other thread to see what others are paying as well.

That's a great deal. How is everyone getting theirs for below invoice. Did you guys buy them at the end of the month? I can't imagine the volume incentive is that big but then again, you never know.

I read one guy buying the 6MT tech package in the 25k range. I sent him/her a PM asking for details...not sure if it was a demo or if it included a trade in or not.

Thanks for all the feedback.

Check here: http://truecar.com/release/index.html
And here: http://www.edmunds.com/ (pull up the "TMV")

Right now there is a $1250 marketing incentive from Acura to the dealerships for every TSX tech that is sold. Which means that even if the dealer is selling the car at invoice, they are making a $1250 profit even before "extras" like financing charges, administrative charges, whatever. Which means that you shouldn't have to pay much if any more than invoice cost, because they're already making a hefty profit!

The incentive ends July 6, though, and while it will *probably* be renewed, there are no guarantees.
