Which fog lights will match stock HID's?
Hey guys,
Anyone here know what the best fog lights are that would match the stock HID's in our cars?
Looking at staying with halogen bulbs, none of that HID fog stuff.
Suggestions Appreciated!

mroto has the PIAA in yellow and they look great! so im guessing the white will look fantastic as well. keep in mind tho, halogen bulbs can never truly be "white" it will always have a yellow hint to it.

There's a flap under the front bumper that you can flip open to access your foglights. I helped my friend change his on his IS250...if its anything like that...which it should, it's just plug and play. Twist to unlock, take out bulb, replace bulb, place back in housing, twist clockwise to lock...voila.

It's so ironic that a pair of wannabe HID halogen bulbs cost more than a set of real HIDs from ebay . $59.99 for the Sylvania's vs. $35'ish for a pair of slim line ballast HIDs.

It's technically illegal to use foggies here without any fog anyway. Cops might be slightly more lenient if I had white "driving lights" instead of the HID type which are doubly illegal here along with glaring up everyone on the road.

As far as foggies they're on the ground. They shine on the ground. idk any fogs who can actually shine at an UP angle towards other drivers.
OP as long as your HIDS are white, youre fine. 4300k Stock i believe, and 5000k pure white.
Once you cross into the 6K you get some blue and thats police attention.
Im ordering my 5k fog kit and 5000k bulbs for my headlamps.

i dunno. i saw that too. If thats not good, can you suggest another? whether on ebay or another site?
found these on amazon, but are more expensive then what i found on ebay and other sites
also does a slim ballast make any difference?
Thanks.

HIDS in headlights on a non projected car yes. But our cars come HID factory so we cant get a ticket for them.

If you're going to pay 46.99 (ebay auction price i think?) then might as well go ddmtuning and get it for about the same price, a little bit more with shipping, cuz then at least you'd have life time warranty with ddmtuning.
it's not hard to replace the headlight bulbs but the easiest way would be to take off your front bumper to access the headlights. you can get to it with the hood open but it's a bit harder to explain. i still have to show pyro if we ever meet up in the city...lol i was supposed to make a video but uhh no car = no video

resurecting this old thread.
I'm thinking of getting the new HID's for the fog light. So does the 4300K match the daytime or the night time headlights (not sure if I'm making sense on that.)
Also, I just got white daytime lights (http://store.ijdmtoy.com/9005-LED-Da...tm?click=13811)
Do you guys know which fog HID's would match best the new daytime and the original night time lights?
Thanks!

the oem headlights when on are 4300K BUT coming through the projector.
the daytime lights you bought will be a bit whiter....closer to 5000K-6000K.
i would wait till you plug in the jdmtoy ......they call it xenon white......looks 5000K but could be a touch blue like 6000K.
then get the fogs to match one you see the exact color of the DRL.
you do realize that with that DRL kit you will lose most of your high beam/

cool, thanks for the info. i do re high beam. don't use it much, and wanted to get brighter fog lights in case i need to supplement the weaker high beam. at least that what some people suggested. not sure if that's a good idea...
or i can just forget the DL and just turn them off. plenty of people have not DL and i'm not sure the benefit of having DL on all the time outweighs having working high beam when you need it..
i'll put the new DL on and if the high beam is really inferior, them they're going back
