personally, i dont care at all that my car is an euro accord. Ultimately, the luxuriousness of the TSX here is the same luxurious as the accord in europe...BECAUSE THEY ARE THE SAME CAR! In europe, the accord is entry level luxurious. if you want to compare your car to the accord, you should be looking at the inspire too....since the accord is really an inspire.

19 yo bashing again...

You can still be 19 and made a fortune playing the stock market right.

You can still be 19 and worked your ass off to put a down payment on the car and make monthly payments.

I guess what I am trying to get at is, you can still be 19 and buy a 32k TSX WITHOUT any help or aid from their parents.

Spoiled is a relative term. You can still buy your son a new base corolla, and have someone call him spoiled.

But I just don't understand these stupid parents who goes and buys their son or daughter a 30k+ car. Why not a 20k civic or a scion?

yes, US Acura TSX = Euro Accord as body, interior and engine.
...with few technical differences because of the different laws in Europe and USA:

1. because here in Euro we don't have the brand Acura; Acura it's only for US market; so it's only "a brand plate" difference for this model

2. Euro Accord (Executive package, the highest) have, in addition of Acura TSX: a different front grille, lights on the left gauge with UP and DOWN for suggesting to change the gear in order to make the most economical drive, ACC and CMBS and LKAS - here very nice explained with video http://www.hondanews.eu/en/models/in...C1/index.pmode

... and YES, my Accord turn the steering-wheel by his own, following the road, but only for curves under 5%, which is the general case of motorways (LKAS)
... and also push the break if the car in front brakes also (ACC)

3. Euro Accord (Executive) doesn't have (as Acura TSX): TPMS (we don't have in Europe the law like in US), audio ELS Dolby ProLogic2 5.1 and DVD-Audio capability (we have Premium Sound System, but without Dolby and DVD Audio), consumable sensors to remind the service time (oil, etc.), inside doorstep garnish with ACURA, beige interior (only grey or black interior selection for Euro)

I really wish that the TSX was offered with that package here as a "Tech Elite" package or something like that. It would really help the TSX stand out as the most technologically advanced of the entry-lux sedans!

Well now that depends. If you are 19 years old and living with your parents rent free, then you are still buying the car with their help via the free housing, food, and utilities they provide. With those expense added to said 19 year old's monthly nut, the monthly car payment for a $32k car suddenly becomes out of reach.

I suppose if I were rich and my son or daughter didn't show much competency or aptitude for success in life I might just think to myself there's no way they will ever be able to afford nice things so I'll just buy them nice things from time to time. I can see that happening.

But if I thought my son or daughter had potential to make something of themselves I wouldn't spoil their motivation by giving them a cake before they have even accomplished anything.

Well, I got my first car when I was 17, an old 99 Nissan Pathfinder, got into a serious accident plus air bags didnt go off. My parents helped me buy a TSX because they believed it was a very very safe car compared to my old car and I truly appreciate my parents helping me. And no, my parents didnt just buy the car for me, I just finished paying it off.

Sometimes, I guess you have to see it another light. I know you can say that getting such a nice car at a young age is spoiled but I think being spoiled depends on the child being knowledgable on how much their parents care for them. I think being spoil is just not caring and complaining on what you have.

I guess he is.

I like the fact I drive an accord. I don't feel bad about it one bit. I make anyone
aware that asks much about the car that it is a honda accord in the rest of the
world, but an acura tsx here. and no, I have not put honda badges on my acura.

I bought this car for reliability, longevity, quality, and the rest fall in after that.
there is really little to no doubt that the accord is an excellent, stable and long lasting
car that will serve its owner well for years and years of near trouble free ownership.
not many cars on the market can compare with the accord in longevity and durability.

I am very comfortable with honda, and any acura owner really should be in my opinion.

oh, and good luck with selling your new tsx.
what did you decide to buy in its place if I may ask...?

Im glad that you are all happy with your family sedan car, I how ever am not. Im tired of all the shit thats going wrong with the piece of shit 32000 dollar car. My speakers have blown out for the 4th time a couple days ago, there is a metal to metal grinding noise at low speed acceleration which makes me cringe, the back shelf creeks like im jumping on a covered bridge from the 1800's and the engine lacks any bit of thrill. Also everytime i merge onto the highway i feel like an unguided missile becuase if i touch the wheel even a tad in a certain direction and i feel like im going to go into a death spin. It is a miracle to me people even buy this car. THERE ARE SO MANY OTHER BETTER CHOICES OUT THERE ON THE MARKET THAN THIS CAR FOR THE SAME PRICE RANGE. Maybe for 32,000 your cant get a fully loaded entry level sedan with a navigation and a absolutely PATHETIC 10 speaker sound system which dosent even go loud enough to even hear, that is unless you listen to your music like a vagina. But for 32,000 or maybe a couple thousand more you can get something which actually puts the FUN back in driving and with some BALLS under the hood. It is absolutely 100% my fault i bought this car, it was completely and impulsive buy, so i dont wanna hear "Oh well why did you buy it" or "Well thats your opinion because i love my Hondacura" becuase I DONT KNOW WHY I BOUGHT IT! AND I HATE MY HONDACURA!

so now it's time to lose $6k and then get a different car...

so what are you going to buy next?

didn't you hear the rear shelf crackling on your test drive?
didn't you notice the terrible EPS on your test drive?
or did you not even bother to test drive it?

p.s. never buy a first model year of a car.

Saying he blew the speaker out numerous times and that the sound system isn't loud enough unless you're a pussy and it's impossible to have fun in the car tells me he drove the car like a mexican drug runner.

Oh damn I didn't even notice he was 19. People that age who spend their own money on an Acura are first few and far between, but more importantly give lots and lots of thought to their choice of car before buying. He said in another thread in which he tries to sell his TSX that it's in mint condition and now he's saying that it makes grinding metal noises. What a sad, sad, kid.

Maybe we should post his rant above in his FS thread as a public service to the next buyer? I certainly wouldn't want someone to overpay for a car that is practically falling apart!

lolz, but the point is we knew he was not quite right in head beforehand. Realizing that he's a spoiled kid was like a bonus. That FS thread was locked, I'm not sure if he started another. I assume there are no takers in any event.

Listen I'm 21, but I put five good years in a Camry that is the SAME AGE as me (250k+ miles and running) and I've scoured these forums for MONTHS and MONTHS evaluating the new TSX and judging whether or not it is a worthy purchase. I've test driven it and read up every single review I could find. I've been very thorough and I'm ready to pull the trigger (more like my parents are ready to pull the trigger).

I know after I buy it I will follow the "breaking in your new TSX" rules that I found on the forums because I've been doing RESEARCH. I'm not that much older than you are, but I've certainly done my homework. Preparation always helps prevent headaches down the road. Treat your car like its worth 32 thousand dollars and it probably will respond accordingly.

Unless you have European friends who call your car "an accord" in front of everyone on a daily basis... who cares?

EDIT: if it has that many problems, you also may want to look at lemon laws that are intended to protect you from shoddy manufacturing.

After you buy it, let me know so I can say "told you so". LukeaTron Anal Cancer? You have anal sores from your boyfriend. The car is in mint condition aside from the factory FUCK UPS. A real sports sedan is a BMW 3series or something else made with quality.

F.S. sign on one thread, rant in another. =P

Trashing a 30K car makes one a baller to others in the senior high parking lot.

I remember being 16 & uber-happy about the 1970 Monte Carlo I was able to buy with $400 I earned mowing lawns for what was 1/2 of my life at the time. There were lots of BMW's, Benzes & stuff in my senior high lot but the funny thing is several of those who started out with cars like that back then are dead, incpacitated, homeless or live with their Moms.

This thread should serve as a warning for parents. After driving an 8 year old 240SX with 150,000 miles in high school, I was ecstatic when my parents gave me enough money to buy a new 4-cylinder Mazda 6 following college graduation. You would have never heard me complaining that my new $32,000 car was a "European Accord."

Honda Accord & TSX/Accord Euro

In Australia we have both the Honda Accord and the Honda Accord Euro.

Basically the Honda Accord is the same as the USA accord, but the model we get is built in Thailand.

The Honda Accord Euro is the American Acura TSX, built in Japan. However there are different trim levels on our Euro compared to your TSX. We have a choice of 3 models, Standard, Luxury and Luxury Navi. Thankfully we get a different Grille to what you get on the TSX.

I have the Standard model 5AT in Pearlecent White and am very happy with the Car.

Actually the Accord Euro was awarded Wheels (our top motoring magazine) Car of the Year for 2008, a highly regarded award here in Aust.

It would be interesting to see the reaction when he finds out that his 40K BMW is actually less reliable... Maybe he should get an Audi!? I hear these are VERY reliable.

hhaaha being dissapointed in a car i worked/work so hard to purchase makes me a spoiled brat? and my parents parenting a failure? wow! any way im not wasting any more time on this retarded forum im deleting my account, and i also am not wasting any more time in my TSX as i traded it in today for a 08 BMW 3series which my parents did help me with. Sorry you people are so bitter but i guess if i was stuck in a honda in a tuxedo id be bitter too. Hopefully the people in the BMW forum will be of a higher caliber and quality just there cars.
