I've seen a few comments here and on Edmunds about the pinging/dieseling/knocking sound that some have experienced. Unfortunately, my 09 TSX (with a November 2008 manufacturing date) is now making the same noise. I doubt it is the gas; I bought the usual highest-octane gas from my local Shell dealer, where I've never had a problem.

Anyone know what I should do? Is there a fix that the dealership can make? It's annoying as hell to listen to in an otherwise great car.

It's an issue with combustion occurring in the exhaust manifold or something. Honda is aware and working on a fix. They say there is no threat of damage. The fix will most likely be an ECU update. There's a big giant thread on this problem already.
