Just got a flat tonight, had to use spare time (first time) to get home. Does anyone know how long I can drive on it. I won't be able to get to the dealership until Tuesday. I don't expect to drive anywhere but work tomorrow. Its less than 8 miles roundtrip. I heard 70miles on a spare was its max. My dealership is about 20 miles. I drive an 09 Tsx.

It shouldn't be a problem. My tire blew out last month, used the spare tire to and from work, 80km (50 mile) round trip.

Just remember the maximum speed is 50mph on temporary tire. Proper inflation is 60 psi. You should get the tire fixed ASAP, but there is no need to go back to dealership unless you have some sort of road hazard warranty with them (ie free repair).

General rule of thumb for doughnuts are: <50 miles total and <50mph.

to be on the safe side put the spare on the rear and you should be good.

Last time I had to use the doughnut spare tire I drove it about 125 miles on a highway. I went the speed limit of 60 or just slightly over. I had no problems.

Thx. I do have a tire/road hazard warranty. So I hope they fix this for free.
