DRLs - Can you turn them off
I'm coming from a VW and hate DRLs, with my VW I am able to turn them off using a VAG-COM cable.
Is there anyway on the Acura to turn off the DRLs without getting any error messages?
Thanks

Hate is a strong word, but I do hate them. I think it makes the car look cheap like a GM.
The only DRLs which I think are cool are on the new Audi's, they are using LED in a strip, looks really sweet, but using the high beams like Acura as DRLs is so cheap looking.

Make a hole, coming thru!
Haven't seen it, but frankly I'm happier with a reuse of something already there, than adding yet another light to incorporate DRLs. I've heard foglights suggested as an alternative.
DRLs have been proven at reducing accidents, so it's not something that would occur to me to "mod out" of the car. YMMV.

Thanks for the clue ... p. 479 of the '09 OM lists 7.5A fuse #15 in the driver's side interior fuse box as the Daytime Running Lights fuse.
Now we only need a '09 TSX owner to try that....

When I test-drove the car, I believe the DRLs are one click on the driver's left side, when you go two clicks, you turn on the HIDs.
So yes, you can drive around without DRLs.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

P. 114 states the DRLs are on when the switch is OFF or in 3 parking and Instrument Panel Lights ... and the high beam indicator is on at reduced intensity. Not sure what to think about that.
WOAH. There's a light sensitivity setting for the AUTO feature (p. 97). Boy, I wished I'd had that with my 2000 Sienna ... headlights always came on about 1/2 hour later than I wanted (and there were no DRLs if I recall).
