Door sills delayed...i broke something in the car

Some how i messed up the grounding and now my rear interior lights no longer light up... that means i lost my ceiling lights, front ambient lights, visor lights, and rear courtesy lights

no idea how this happened as i was very careful the whole time, but yeah, now i have to jump through the dealer hoops

in the meantime i am very sad and tears are running down my eyes as i replace my LEDs with stock bulbs...

I thought about it. Massive effort required due to curvature

Wow nice job KG. Good job on the post whoring btw. I had no idea this wasn't for the rear sills. Looks good though. You used the dome light to connect to the sill? Do the rear sills light up as well?

Back, not gonna finish tonight, i am le tired.

Heres the thing with the rears, the large curvature is a huge problem.

If the rears were flat, they would be lighted too, no problem but because they are curved... how do i get light to shine through?

The fronts are easy, a flat sill is cut out of a flat sheet, the rears would have to be modeled in 3D (outside of my expertise) and cut out of a solid block to have the right curvature (out of my cost range)

Now, i do know a way to achieve something similar for the rears, but it wont have any depth to it like the front does

Another thing i had to consider was that when you are adding more square inches of lighting tape it requires a larger (read: more expensive) power inverter.

So for all the use i get out of my rear doors (which is pretty much non-existant) and the additional effort and cost required, i decided it wasnt worth it to bother with the rear sills. At some point in the future, i may just do something with the rears so they just say the words "Acura" but ATM im totally cool with a CF overlay on them just so they atleast match the front

And @ swoosh, thank you, reading what you wrote in blutsx' other thread really helped me mentally figure out where to tap the line

I'll have more pics soon, i worked on these alot today but running the wires and everything is tedious, when i blew that fuse i figured i should take a break and go out or something
