Don't be an ass. Cosmetic mods are just that but you need to decide if the ski jump spoiler on your roof (that may dump dirt and grime on your back window) will bring you more cosmetic bang-for-the-buck than a flatter spoiler that may actually improve airflow over your back window and has a similar luck.

Do you honestly think that having a piece of a roof spoiler flare out a bit vs a regular roof spoiler makes enough of a downforce/air flow difference to matter which one you get? Please, show me proofs included wind tunnel tests and such. I can see if you argue roof spoiler vs no roof spoiler, but flat roof spoiler vs roof spoiler with a little flare? I don't see the point.

I never said anything about downforce. Why do you think modern wagons/hatches all have roof spoilers? To regulate the air going over the roof of your car to keep the rear window clean. A spoiler with a fairly distinctive flare will dump more crud on your window.

I don't get your hostility. Is it that you feel threatened by someone who actually knows what they are talking about? You and killer are the ones who keep picking a fight - in this case I merely mentioned that the spoiler shown may make your window dirty.

Both spoilers will give you a very similar look, but one will keep your rear window dirty - tell me again why you want to install that spoiler.

I'll repeat my usual mod-mantra - be honest with yourself about the reasons for a mod and recognize the consequences. I could obviously care a whit about which spoiler you install (the first, very poorly fitting one may actually keep your window cleaner) but do yourself a favor and admit that the reason is that you like the ski-jump look from up close.

Why don't you and killer keep playing with yourselves in this thread. That way you can feel cool and play class bully. I'm out of this idiotic thread.

Aren't all the other roof spoilers shaped more like a quarter pipe than this one? Thats why I actually liked this one, it's the flattest one that I have seen thus far!

^^i actually really like both of them. But this one from russia is gonna cost you 3 times as much especially after getting it painted. Maybe a little less, but still quite more. I think you can get the other one for like 70 or 80 shipped and painted. idk, its hard for me to choose between them...

I agree I'm not a fan of the ski jump look. I will be ordering the Project 10k roof spoiler that is listed on ebay. There is a member here that has one and it looks great.

also, i was gonna txt you to ask you to open contact with the russians. the unprimed ruski spoiler is 100 dollars US by conversion, even with import shipping, it may be cheaper than the project 10k spoiler

I like the price of the ski jump one, but I think in a few pictures on the ebay listing it looks bad. Almost looks like a different spoiler is being used for the different shots.

The russian looks like a trunk lip but for the roof
& theres a 3rd, Its the ski jump minus the jump if it makes sense, Kind of even.

The basque red has the even one, not the russian.

- project10k spoiler (180 primed, basque red tsx)
- ruski spoiler (decklid style, not available stateside)

simliar in that in doesnt FLARE up, but the ends of the russian share similarities with the trunk lip in that the corners have a little shape to them. it isnt an even flat shape. Look closely to the ends.

What you wrote clears it up the three, and is what I was originally thinking. The multiple pictures comment was for the first ebay one. I'm still in for the russian one if is around $150.

edit: if we can groupbuy the project 10k one for around $150, I think I'd be interested in that one too.
