Did the power steering unit and fluid change with 2012 model year?

I have a 2011 SportWagon. I'm looking at changing power steering fluid. I see on some sites, but not all, where the power steering fluid changed with 2012 model year to the same as the V-6 fluid. (The V-6 fluid is over three times the cost of the 4 cylinder fluid.) Somehow I thought the power steering remained the same from 2011 through 2014. Did the power steering unit and required fluid change on the 2.4 with the 2012 model year? Thanks.

I think the power steering on the 2011 is electric assist and therefore does not have any power steering fluid.

Feel free to use any PS fluid. If you can't find the fill cap then just open the hood and pour the fluid over the engine. It'll soak in.

The power steering is electric - no fluid.

Be sure to change your blinker fluid also. It's very important.

Thanks everyone. I searched for replacement fluids instead of starting with the type of steering. Looked at TFM, and, yes, eps; meaning no power steering fluid. I guess all the websites selling power steering fluid for 2011 TSX's are counting on people like me who haven't RTFM. Thanks again.

notalk types.

Crazy the some sites sell power steering fluid for a car that doesn't require it. I wouldn't trust any of the items they sell.
