Went to start my 2012 TSX and nothing but clicking. Car started fine friday night. I have had car since August and have 2300 miles on the clock.Nothing was left on. Has anyone else had a problem with Panasonic batteries?

sorry i cant help directly but can say my 2012 wagon, with similar mileage cranks rather slow in the cold weather......and reading here, battery failure is rather common.

i see posts saying they are under warranty for 4 years but if mine fails I will just go buy a better battery/ dependability is more important than a hundo/

Crap battery is crap! My wagon cranks a bit slower on initial startup/cold. But my other cars cranks w/o issues even when parked for days.

i believe the first OEM battery is covered under warranty. after that it's prorated. oddly the acura battery is suppose to be 100mos battery. HA! i have yet to see someone make it past 3-4 yrs on avg. there are a few that will get 5-6 yrs, but it's rare.

Mines also seems to crank slower in cold mornings. I have to take it in for a oil leak and sun roof so I will tell them to load it also.

Yup, my car has been parked in the driveway the past few mornings where temps here have been down into the 20s and 30s and it takes significantly longer to turn over than when temps were higher or when the car was in the garage. It doesn't take "forever" but you can tell it is struggling. OEM battery, 17k miles, 1 yr 8 mths old.

Do they replace it with the same crap battery if under warranty? My old 09 Maxima had a battery replacement after 10months under warranty and Nissan replaced it with an Interstate battery with a Nissan label on it and additional 84mos warranty.

Mine died after 1 week sitting in the garage. Was out of town. Came back to a dead battery. Joy.

Immediately went to Costco and got a new one. Screw going to Acura to have them replace with another dud.

yes it's the same crappy OEM battery...but you might get 3 yrs or so out of it. at least it'll hold you over until you have to plop money down for a new one (preferably aftermarket). if the car starts to act up (hard starts, lights flickering, some of the electronics acting weird for no reason), the battery is suspect, get it checked and replaced. both of my OEM batteries in my TL...hard starts and flickering lights (the first one replaced in early summer and the other in the fall). thankfully, i was able to get the battery replaced before she decided to not start at all.

Did not have any problems with the OEM battery, but the dealer replaced it 3 yrs ago saying it tested low. Replacement battery is now 3+years old and starts with no problem(knock on wood) my car is parked outside in very cold PA.

I called dealer yesterday told them what happened. They said bring car in and they will take a look at. Car is only 6 months old (was made in June 2012) I have only 2300 Miles on it. Car has never cranked slow or failed to start Until the other day. I just must have gotten a bad one.

I purchased my 09 just last month and the battery died after I left the dome light on overnight. I had it just a week and it started and ran just fine until then. AAA was able to start it up for me and pointed out my dome light was on and that was what drained the battery so low my my charger couldn't replenish it. Drove it down to the dealer to cancel my service visit and they tested it for me and it failed. I had 3 days left on the battery warranty and they gave me a new OEM 100 month battery. Next battery will be aftermarket for sure. Be very careful you don't leave any lights or accessories on when you leave the car. Lesson learned....
