Thumbs up CUSTOM LED DRL strip installed!!

I lied.

Seriously though, what did you expect from me?
I didnt install LED DRLs but i did do the next next best thing.

I used the internet to get my hands on some prewired LEDs (not the hi-fi oznium stuff, some cheap shit weak LEDs) and then using some serious high tech gadgetry (knife and black permanent marker) i created these ADVANCED LED DRL SIMULATORS for use on my car. Behold the beauty of my technical expertise below:

To start with i tried the "fang" configuration and took more shots of this one cause i figured it would look best. Again i gotta apologize because im taking all these pics with a cellular phone...maybe ill ask someone for a camera for my bday or w/e

The sun was in a really unfavorable position for taking shots and a 2 year old mediocre cellphone didnt really do wonders for the pictures

Anyway, i thought the "low brow" led config would really suck but it actually looked quite nice as well

Of course if these were properly done and made from Oznium superflux 4chip LEDs i dont doubt that they would look alot better.

Ill just let you guys take a look and form your opinions and whatnot before i add my .04 cents (my opinions are worth alot)

i like horizontal. i think if you did 3 layers of it, it'll just look like a off center square. lol. how about a diagonal but one led in each layer?

hey man even if you did it with cardboard and marker, at least you didn't waste money in getting it and seeing that you didn't like it.

horizontal looks way better but the fact I love is it able to turn on w/o drl or low-beam.

I didn't know you were that good at photoshop, killer. Premium digital turning your corolla into a TSX right there!

I kinda like the vertical, because it's different, but maybe a different positioning? Like on the furthest edge of the foglight black housing thingy?

maybe ill do another photoshoot with 2 more configs. Im gonna be honest guys, i really really liked the look when i had em on, and i would seriously consider doing this mod. Its also very cheap (serious leds about 3 bucks per led x 14 = 42 bucks for led and then however much it costs for the wiring and the fuses necessary

I really would want to do this but my biggest obstacle is that i have a very limited understanding of wiring and electronics. I would ideally want them to be independent of the other lights (DRL still functioning) and have an on/off switch in one of the blank VSA plates but how i would do that i have no idea outside of a very simple understanding of the concept (all the wires into one big wire...positive to battery with an inline fuse ground to chassis and and extra set of wires to the switch?)

I vote for horizontal, but to address this comment... I say go for it. Take your time, do the proper research, keep good notes. You will be the first to do it, and you'll know that you took the time to do it right.

Killer = the boy who cried wolf.
Damn you I thought you actually did a custom LED job...what a hoe.

I like horizontal better than vertical. If you get more LEDs can you try putting it in a circle around the fog light? I remember 2 people suggested that in your LED feeler thread and I thought that'd look pretty cool.

Killer this one took me about 10 minutes.LOL
The big dots are the LEDs on the inner side of the fogs. I think you know why I made 3 lines. Dont find the right word for this. Leds in V- Form. Forget the little dots, they are only fillers, without them I could not make the V-Form.LOL
