CU2 trunk license plate

Does anyone have problems with their trunk license plate curlying up due to not having a license plate frame or fasteners on the bottom of the license plate?

I don't want to get a license plate frame and I tried some fasteners for the bottom, but none that i've tried fit.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

I recommend buying a basic license frame.

You could always use adhesive that is safe on automobile paint to help hold the bottom of the plate in place. I believe 3M makes it, as well as others. Should be available at your local PepBoys or similar shop.

I really don't want to get a license plate frame. I was hoping there were fasteners that would fit the bottom portion but so far nothing that is made for license plate has worked on this car.

I really don't feel like going to a hardware store and buying some screw to use. To me it makes the car look cheap. :-(

Sounds like it may be the material your license plate is made out of.

How is that? I thought all license plates are made out of aluminum?

I took the frame off that came from the dealer but it only had bolts for the top but not the bottom. I was just hoping someone knew of a site/place I could buy the bottom fasteners.

Sigh...

Who's idea was it to BOLT a goddamn license plate on? LOL. Want to put a new plate bracket on, but don't have the right wrench size to take the bolts off.

It should be 10mm for the bolt on the license plate.

Yeah, I might have to go to the Acura dealer but I don't go to that side of the city and hate the traffic with all the construction going on.
