Cracked Fog Lights

I just finished washing my car and noticed that both the driver and passenger fog lights are cracked.
I've had multiple vehicles with oem fog lights and this is the first time I have experienced this issue. I've had this vehicle for less than 2 months.

I just called the dealer and got quoted approx $210 per fog light.

Has anyone else had this problem with their fog lights?

Ha! This problem runs rampant in the 1G's. Guess they carried over the same glass lens design to the 2G's as well. My driver's side lens is cracked as we speak. Some have had luck getting dealers to goodwill them and install rockblocker.

Both the foglights cracked on my 06 within the first 6 months of ownership. I was one of the lucky ones-the dealer replaced them free as a one-time goodwill. I now have rockblocker on them.

I went to the dealer to have them checked out. The service manager said he would call acura to see if they can cover it under goodwill.

What made me laugh is what the manager told me, he said this is very common on most of the acura vehicles.

He said this is what happens when you buy an acura.

Yeah, that's what I thought too. That why some have had luck at some dealers, but not others. I'd be interested to know what the outcome is. I wish you luck! I haven't taken mine in to have them look at it, but based on past experience all I'd get is a bill.

Doesn't look like RockBlocker is available for the '09 yet. Can someone post an alternative? Thanks!

There's a fog light thread in the 1G Problems and Fixes section. They talk about a product called Xpel. Its like rockblocker, just a different brand. You can get sheets of cut it yourself film. They do have a 2G headlight and foglight kit available for order.

I have the same issue with my 09 TSX. Have an appt. with the dealership on Friday to see if they will replace. I ordered Xpel yesterday. $25 for both headlights. Here is the Vendor name:
