has anyone knows how to change their manual transmission fluid? i wonder where is the drain plug?

Drain plug is on the bottom of the tranny case, looks like a 1/2" square that your ratchet or breaker bar fits in, make sure to park on a level surface before draining.

To fill, remove the 1/2" square plug on *the side* of the tranny, fill until MTF comes seeping back out, then put the plug back in. Your capacities should be listed in the owners manual.

Some people here like the GM syncromesh, I've always used Honda MTF (it has a gear lube additive, unlike 30 weight oil that some numbnuts use)

^ And how often should be changed. I tried looking in the service manual but couldn't find anything about MT fluid change schedule.

about ever 35k miles.
or at least thats the interval I change my MTF on my 2006 TL.

I have all the service done on my tsx by a acura dealer. They changed the MTF at around 90,000 miles. They also changed the brake fluid then. The car was a little over 3 years old.

Seriously, this is my 5th manual transmission car and always change the transmission fluid around 50k. I asked because I didn't find anything in the manual. Thank you!

oh and this... this is for my 6MT in my RSX but I can't imagine it would differ that much. You will notice the first time maintenance action "F" is shown is down at 120,000 miles or 6 years and "F" is change manual transmission fluid.
Motto to live by: "When in doubt change the transmission fluid"
