Car cover for outdoors

Car cover for outdoors
I'm looking into getting a car cover. I park my car outside. I don't plan on using the car cover when it rains just winter/summer with no rain. Would it be better for me to get the OEM car cover or Covercraft? Are the OEM car covers UV and water resistant? I don't want something that is going to start tearing on me after a year.

I can save you the expense and subsequent storage aggravation when you get tired of it, but...the blue cotton ones from covercraft or wolf are too light for outdoor use and blow around a lot.
Get the all weather breatheable one if you want one.
No offense at all, but car covers in general public use invite ingrates to pee in the cowl kinda like what they do to those who take up two parking spaces.
$.02, from a car cover owner who only uses it in the garage.

The $275 custom fit one on the exterior accessories area of the Acura site is the good outdoor use one. It looks like it comes with a cable & lock, part of the price, I guess.
Just don't get a universal fit one, they look like a diaper after the kid has taken a dive in the pool.
