Long story short got my bumper off and repairing the lower part of my grille, its primed right now (cancelled my order of a new lower grille- good time to paint in an older thread)... Haven't tried to put it back on but in case of emergency can I just stick it back on and drive around with it off I know its not recommended...


...Basically do I need the grille to attach the front bumper back??

are you talking about the legit grill as in the chrome shield, or the lower grill as in the black meshy part between the fogs. neither is technically required, but they very well may protect your radiator, fan, and other components from stuff like rocks and UFO's haha. beside that, i mean you can technically drive with them off. the lower mesh has nothing to do with reattaching the bumper. the real grill has 2 clips at the top which connect to the top of the engine bay. they are actually the only 2 clips i have holding my bmper on beside the screws in the wheel well. i would not drive without attaching those 2 because those are the only clips ontop

Hey ^^ Pyro when is the next time you're going to be home the paint is coming out like shit the accident caused too much major scratches I even tried vinyling it and it just won't come out right...In like 3 weeks Im going to order a whole new set of grill the meshy part and the lower part of the grill since ur close by you want to install for me!!!! text me I think I pm'd you my phone number

Saturdays would be great for me... as a gift I have two cans of clear plasti-dip I dont fucking need it turns chrome look like brush aluminium might look good on your vortec blue...I tried it out on the emblem and didnt like how it looked on it

I guess you could drive around with out it, but just be careful. I know it's not likely but one of my sisters actually hit a bird that was flying by and just happened to be in front of the car. It was stuck in the grille
