I recently moved from where my rent was due on the 15th to where it's due on the same date as my Acura payment (roughly the 28th).. Those 2 bills at once has the potential to kick my ass.

I looked in AcuraFinance and can't find where I can move the date. Or is that not an option ?

Anyone ever do that?

I believe my credit union gave me the flexibility to change the date.

 

I am not 100% positive but I think you can. I would call and ask them.

 

Save enough money to make one more advanced payment. Tell your finance company that so you have a buffer payment.

 

I'm sure they will accommodate your needs.. just give them a call.

I'm going to assume you pay more for rent that you pay for the car. Why don't you just make your car payment on the 15th instead of waiting until the end of the month? If you were paying the rent on the 15th, it shouldn't be a problem for you to use the money you were using at that point in the month for rent to go to the car payment. The bank certainly won't have a problem with you making you payments a little early.

I also doubt the landlord would mind if you paid the rent on the 15th either. If I was a landlord I wouldn't mind having a tenant who paid me the rent early every month. They only seem to care if you pay them late every month

 

why will paying 2 bills kick your ass as opposed to paying them 2 weeks apart? even if you do live paycheck to paycheck, couldn't you just budget the first paycheck and not spend the money that you'll KNOW YOU'LL NEED at the end of the month?

Call them, they will change it. However, I do agree with what others have said...just make the payment early every month.
