well i stated what i need to state here.. this is what is expected on a acura/tsx forum.. so no surprises here..
im still curious on why people would pay 38k for a v6 tech tsx when they could just get a TL- tech for that price.. i guess they just like their interior to look like the new accords..

So the difference is $4K at best. and that will give you shorter warranty and no 3 stage longer life paint like TSX.
So i am not sure why TSX V6 is such bad option. It will handle better, interior along with Music system is more upscale. Looks are better, Hid, Active noise cancellation.

Last night, while getting dinner with some friends, I got some feedback on the wagon's back seat. Though neither passenger was especially large, (one was 5-5, the other 5-10), both gave it thumbs up overall for its solid back- and under-thigh support.
At 34.3 inches, the rear leg room specification is nothing to brag about, but the seat's firm padding, well-shaped backrest and relatively high seat cushion greatly contribute to the high comfort factor. As they say, you have to look beyond the numbers.

Personally for me, the handling, styling, fit & finish, and yes even the badge make the TSX worth the premium to me. (If the badge was as useless as implied, Acura, Lexus, Cadillac, and Infiniti wouldn't exist, and BMW, Mercedes, and Audi wouldn't be having the exponential growth, and record sales they have been enjoying. They make good cars with premium materials, and engineering, but everyone knows the badge sells.)
To many the premium of my RS4 isnt worth it over a regular S4, but if you need to ask, it most likely wouldn't be worth it to you. Hell, to many, all a car is, is a way to get you from Point A to Point B, and anything more than a bare bones civic isn't worth the premium.
The Camry is known for reliable, well engineered transportation, albeit completely uninspiring to drive. To me the newest one looks like a corolla on steroids which is even more bland than the previous one. If that's what you are after, go for it; nothing will do the job better. Personally, I enjoy, and need more than that for my vehicles.

The one thing i haven't had good luck with on a toyota car when it hits hihger mileage is struts. It seems like once you hit 90-100k the struts start to cup the tires and need to be replaced. The two camry's and one es300 all needed struts around that mileage. We have had 10 honda's and none needed them.
I bought my 09 tsx I4 for about the same price as an accord with the same features and same general year.
I like the new camry but i also want something not everyone has. Sure there are a decent amount of tsx's around but there are fewer tsx's than the camry and i like that.

A little off key... but what is it with the reflectors in the rear bumper area? Is that some new government requirement?
When I think of reflectors, I think of my old banana seat bike that I would pop wheelies on.

They're required in some European countries. I do know that.

dont even feed him, his comments have been beyond retarded, he is trolling
he owns a TL and he is sitting here telling us he wants to trade up to a camry and then comments on how we must lament the TSX because it has the interior of an accord

TSX has one of best interior and side mirror design. Accord leather is pretty rundown.
This Camry is joke. much simpler interior design no curves.
Corrolla shape super imposed on Older Camry with much worse mirror design.

Three Wheelin'
This thread makes me remember the time when my friend told me that there's three types of people that drives Camry:
1. Old and Elderly
2. Female
3. Gay
And he mentioned that there's also an exception for the uncatergorized. Haha

Everyday I'm rofling
In my family, thats completely true. Both my sister and my grandma drive a camry. Both are the 05 body style.

Thanks for all the comments. We ended up choosing the Camry SE, in large part due to the great deals being offered by Toyota. The fully loaded SE ended up being over $7,000 less than a TSX Tech. We were thinking of waiting to see the new ILX, but were not sure our old Accord would make it that long, and I have my doubts about whether Honda is going to do a good job with their new cars.

^ they wont... theyll go to the parking lot and find one on either side of them same color and everything. tsx is much more upscale and if you drive an acura you part of a loving family.........drive a camry ur part of a dying family.

well...the camry appeals to the "older" folks that just want reliable transportation.
here's an article: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16774146...et-old-stuffy/
its a few years old...but here is the "grandma" image of the camry.

i saw the new camry and is ugly as fuck. at first i thought it was a modified corolla and had to double look at the badges.
personally, the camry wouldnt even making on my car buying list because it doesnt compare. looks > price

I was surprised to see so much Camry bashing in here. I just bought a new 2012 Camry SE V6 fully loaded for under $28,000. I was looking for a daily driver so I would not have to drive my modded M3 to work every day. My lifted 4Runner gets terrible gas mileage. The TSX was my first choice, but for the money the Camry beat it out. Sure it is not as sporty looking or as nice inside but I get the same gas mileage, a 6 speed transmission and smart key access for $6000 less. If I want speed and performance I can just jump in my M3.
I know this is the Acura forum, but I just wanted to point this out. I am not a grandma, gay Or anything else. I am just practical. I would rather invest my saved dollars. I haved owned many Acuras from legend coupe, tls, tl aspec 6-speed to type r, so don't call me an Acura hater. I just have never owned an NSX. If I get rid of my M3 a Porsche or GTR will be replacing it. Stop bashing and just admit that the Camry is a viable alternative to the TSX.

IMO, Camrys are of low quality. Sure engine is reliable, but everything else is cheap plasticky, and of low grade.
Sure 5K is a big gap in price, but lets not forget that 5K buys you more power, better sound system, HID lights, quality material inside and out, refinement, and LOOKS! Seems worth it to me.
As for performance compared to your old TSX, you won't find it in the new TSX anf if youre comparing it to cars such as 3 series, A4/a5, G37 you definitely won't find it in this car, but comparing to accords, camrys and the likes, this car is a no brainer

In NYC, many of the new T&LC cars (Taxi & Limousine Company) is the new Camry. I wonder if people would wave me down for a ride if I went with a Camry
Never test drove the Camry, but I have sat in one (T&LC car). It was decent, but very plasticly and "basic". And IMO, the interior of the TSX compared to the Camry justifies the price difference alone.
