Smile Brand new 2011 TSX 2.4L w/ Tech - Black on Black - Tint question

Going to get my windows tinted in a couple hours.... 35 is the Oregon legal limit, but ive been darker (my old rdx I traded in had the front tint match the factory rear tinted windows) without issues....

However, my old rdx was white. I now have black on black... id like to go a little darker than legal..... anyone do that?

I just dont wanna be harassed - and i think i might be more apt to be subject to that now that im in a sportier tsx - not the soccer mom white RDX....

Just some of your personal opinions would be awesome thanks!

LOVING the new TSX... (and the nav upgrades are sweet... and LONG overdue in the Honda/Acura vehicles)

If i was you I would stick to 35% just because it rains alot in Oregon and I would want to be able to see stuff at night. lol And tint will always look darker on black, especially if ur interior is black to. Good luck

35% should be enough. This member has 15% all around and it looks already dark as so you should be fine.

In Virginia I have 20% all around and I never have issues with police or ability to see well at night/inclement weather. I've had 20% on my last several vehicles and never been pulled over in VA. I did get pulled over in SC and GA for speeding and another moving violation with 20% tint and the tint wasn't mentioned in those states (I'm not sure of their local tint laws).

If you are pulled over just roll all your windows down and turn on your interior lights before the cop even gets out of his car. This isn't to hide the tints but so the cop can see you don't have anything that will put him in danger.

I've never heard of being stopped for illegal tint, only being pulled over for a moving violation and cited for illegal tint. Good Luck with your new tint!

I'm sure you've already had your car tinted by now, I have 20% all around on my white tsx with black interior.. My friend has 20% all around on a black bmw with black leather.

We don't have a problem with vision at night or weather in either vehicle.
