Brake Pads - Semi Metallic. . .

I am replacing brakes on all 4 corners in a few weeks. Grabbed Brembo blanks X 4 and OEM rear pads.

For the front pads...I am used to BMW OEM Pads in my prior BMW life. The BMW OEM pad was semi-metallic for my e39, had tons of dust, but the benefit of a initial bite.

I want that same brake feel, as close as possible.

I see MEYLE makes semi metallic pads for our cars. Any users or experience?

I believe the HAWK HPS is semi metallic as well.

My questions are:

Anyone using Semi Metallic Pads?

What are/who makes the OEM pads, and are the Ceramic?

Anyone using MEYLE semi metallic?

Thanks

Thanks for the input.

I suspected OEM is ceramic.

I want LOTS of initial bite...and I am leaning towards cheap, inexpensive Semi Metallic Pads.

I'm open to suggestions. BMW's OEM was Semi Metallic, super dirty, bite like a shark and that's what I seek. . .

Try stoptech street performance pads. Great initial bite once they are bedded in (as compared to a ceramic pad). And the dust washes easily.

HPS's are fantastic pads. Decent initial bite there also.

Try rockauto.com. they'll be under "performance". They're made by Centric.
