Blue Footwell/Ambiant Light - 2011 vs. 2012 Waggie

Anyone with a 2011 wagon tell me if the blue foot well lights remain on when you've switched on running lights/headlights?

We had a 2011 Sportwagon that met its end back in 2013 after only two years when a driver ran a red light at 50 mph in her Prius and totaled the car. I walked away totally uninjured so that was huge.

We immediately replaced with a 2012 waggie and I am almost certain the 2011 foot well lights were lite when the running lights or headlights were switched on. Anyone with a 2011 tell me if my memory is correct or am I hallucinating?

My 2014 wagon, the light goes out once I turn the key to start.

Same with my 12, lights out.

There is a OEM ambient light kit, red or blue, but mostly EU part, like the pedals. Doubt you had that but who knows.

Do a search, I know we've discussed this before. Actually I know I've posted where the split point is but I can't recall offhand.

I think it was coincident with the MMC of the car... And yes, what you say is true. Before the foot lights were on all the time and after they are not.

Cool...thanks. Guess it is time for me to dig into the wiring diagram and see about what I can do to change it back.

With the Pearl White waggie and taupe interior things were a bit more light but the black interior that came with the Graphite Metallic it is just too dark at night. Suppose the tinted windows don't help either!

Neither my 12 nor my 13 have lights that stay on. The 11's did IIRC.
