Attn TSXKid

Its' been brought to my attention that you have put ridonkulous amount of miles on your car.

i'm climbing up there, @ 83K....There was another dude on here whos username I forgot but he managed to rack up 120K something miles on his 10' in 2 years....yes pretty much shat on us both.

anyway since I forget his name so I'm calling you out!

If you don't mind, could you briefly list the services you've got done @ 80ishK miles?

Aside from oil change, air filter, transmission fluid, tires, brake pads/rotors, I've been suggested by the stealership to get my waterpump changed. True or no? Any other services I might have forgotten?

thank you

The dealership I went to told me they recommended the water pump be changed at 200k miles. At 100k miles had the spark plugs and coolant changed. I have the brake fluid changed at 3 yrs. (as suggested by the owner's manual) Had 90k+ miles when done. Still have original brakes/rotors. MTF was changed at 110k miles. This is for the 1st gen tsx. It Might be the same for the 2nd gen. Just trying to be helpful

Man my username in all the thread titles. LOL.

Uh, I didn't do anything major as my dad says my next oil change is when we go to work. I have spark plugs, and we're planning on brake pad upgrades, transmission fluid flush, radiator flush, and of course the oil. That's all we're planning!

You'd make mince meat out of me so I'll forfeit...fight wide that is, sitting on 93k miles as of now

Scratch that you have a TL, which I think has a belt. The TSX is a chain now (4 cylinder) so no maintenance.

what about the vtec fluid change...heard that's like needed at every 50k. lol, all jokes aside, isn't the water pump usually changed at 100k or so.

just to give you guys a lil info

dont need to change timming chain unless there is a issue with it

water pump dont need to be change but if you like to be up to date around 120k

spark plug, drive belts, adjust valves etc is around 105k/120k

transmission 30k

coolant 45k

brake flush every 3years

filter when it dirty around 15k

i work at acura in boston there might be a little diff from mine to yours depending on where you live

most of these things we can do ourself and everyone knows dealership is crazy on there price if you can do it yourself to save you money

and for the tls guys 105k for tbelt please do it i seen some snap at 85k

Additional: have followed the maintenance minder (oil life) Since new. The only thing I did was the brake fluid change without a code. The serpentine belt has been inspected and still good.
