Anyone who has tints...

Just got my tints done... 35 in front, and 20s on the rears.

Did your shop leave the brake light area untinted? I'll post a better picture tomorrow, but I have a taupe interior, and I think it looks a little ridiculous.

Wondering if anyone else's tint shop did that? If you're interested, I went to Speedworld in Queens, NY. A friend recommended it.

I'll call them tomorrow, or go back over the weekend. Or maybe I'll just take a thin sheet of tint and somehow place it there, I dunno.

I told the tint shop I went to that I wanted it covered, he said that they got it in easily without a problem. Since I have a wing spoiler, it only made sense because the brake like on my spoiler would be the one to light up

Yeah, it looks so much better covered.

I'll call them up tomorrow. I always assumed they'd cover it. The brake light is pretty far back to leave it not covered. They did a great job though, no bubbles even when I pulled it out the lot. That was just the only 'flaw'

@ecko508 - your car looks great debadged. I might have to do that

I just called them up, they said 100 bucks to re-do it.. pssht, forget that. They'd have to drop the rear-deck to get to it. Maybe I'll figure something out myself.

Any thoughts?

Covered definitely looks better. Is your interior color that gray color? I was thinking if the interior was black, would it look so bad if that area wasn't tinted?

Yeah, I've got that light grey (taupe) color. I'd get a better picture, but it's snowing out.

Ah, my regular shop will re-do it for 60. They're in the Bronx, if anyone is interested (Bronx Audio). They've done a good job for me for my last two cars. I should have just stuck with them.

They didn't tint it because it's illegal. They should have asked you, though, and then given you a disclaimer that if you get a ticket, they are not liable for it.

My shop just left the brake light bulb out (so that only the tail lights serve as brake lights), but I put it back in.
