Why not go for the CT-E icebox? I think more people can vouch for it rather than the AEM intake...

You do understand that the only things any intake "upgrade" will do for you is that it looks and/or sounds cool, right? Don't buy into the performance or mileage gain hype. Real world, it doesn't make any difference.

There are a number of good intakes on the market: AEM, TAKEDA, INJEN and CT-E. If you want to hear the intake more and have something aluminum and tubular get the AEM, INJEN or TAKEDA. Personally, if it were my car, I'd get the CT-E intake.

If you're interested though in a tubular intake we have a TAKEDA in stock we're letting go for $225 shipped to the cont 48 US

I've done some research just today lol but that's why I like to ask people because everyone has a different opinion, and it helps me a lot when people tell me weather is a good idea or not to do something.

The main reason I want to upgrade an intake is because I do want my car to be louder I just love loud cars that's just me. I don't want to be cheap with my car at all, I used to have an AEM intake on my civic and the vtech was so much better but I always want to get what is better not what's cheaper

My intake came with dyno results and i get about 7 hp @ 45000 rpm or something like that.

If you're just looking for sound, then removing the resonator is free and sounds pretty good. There's pretty much no sound with the CT-E icebox, unless you keep the lid off, but if you do that, you're defeating the purpose of having it in the first place.

That's on a dynamometer under strictly controlled (meaning ideal) conditions (if it's even true). And is that gross horsepower, or horsepower at the wheel? Read my post; on the street, day to day, in my opinion, they make no discernible performance difference (it just sounds that way).

if you just want sound, its the best way to go. the issue is that you will only hear it when you hit above 3K RPMs or if you open the throttle hard. i usually prefer it because i've had cops pull out after hearing the engine, and then when they pull up next to me at a light, they give me the most confused look.

its pretty easy to do, and if you are replacing the fogs or putting HID's in, the best idea is to do both at once. thats what i did for moaarloow(doesn't post here anymore, went back to an evo or sti or somethin) and for kait

The AEM V2 for the 3G TL will not fit the TSX.

My son had an intake. Went thru some water. Intake sucked water into engine. End of story.

well you have to watch out for large/high puddles.....we are talking about at least 6 inches... maybe more. But as long as you are aware and cautious, you wont have any issues.

Again, ive had it for about a year, and have not had any issues, and love what it does.

Couldnt justify the cost for the CT-E, its about $200 more and doesnt create the SOUND that the INJEN does.

I've had intakes on all of my lowered Honda's I've been driving for the past 13 years... I have not encountered the issue referenced here, known as hydrolock. That is not to say that it hasn't happened, for each person that has a problem on day one of having an intake, you have the other side of the coin that has never experienced an issue.

The point of this post? Your mileage may vary.
