I saw this car in person today! It's pretty sweet! And the headlights/tail-lights are awesome! You guys are in for a treat with the interior as well!

Someone actually thought "Hide the logo!" as though we wouldn't know what brand it was.

I would be interested in awd trim. After getting my wife's car in AWD, I think that is the way to go for me in the next car I get. Maybe like 2 or three years away...
Otherwise I will look at the STi. Since the new engine has debuted I'm really digging scubaru's...
Honda does have the turbo motors coming out, which is good, but this isn't getting one of those, which is bad. It should have an awd trim, which is good.
The styling is fine, it is definitely evolutionary, and is in line with what they started 5 years ago.
The people that keep complaining about the car/looks/whatever, you are the vocal minority. The MDX and RDX sell just fine, The TSX is now everywhere. People cried and moaned it was horrible, now the second gen TSX is everywhere. I travel every week on east coast, west coast, north, south midwest, and the second is everywhere, along with other current Acura models.
I understand that my priorities are different from the vocal minority.

LOL. If the Corolla was about as long as the TLX it would be scary how identical they look. The body also kind of reminds me of the new Mazda 6, which isn't a bad looking car, but it really just seems like Acura took a bunch of different cars, blended it up and threw it on paper.

TLX is not a distinctive car.

This is a huge disappointment. The prototype looked great to me. This... Not so much. I guess we'll just have to wait and see...

I think I have already decided, STi for my next car.

I'll save my final judgement for in person but a bit blander than I thought the finished product would be and it doesn't really stand out to me...like others have pointed out already, it could easily get mixed up with a few other cars on the road today.
We will see how it drives, but I may be taking a pass on this one...

Definitely couldn't take pics but I can say that I think a lot of people will change their minds when they see it in person!

unlike the prototype this car has fog lights, it still has the ugly chrome accents on the rear bumper, it appears to have black window trim (THANK GOD!!!), the headlights undoubtedly aren't the American version as they don't have the ugly orange reflectors, and those wheels are putrid...bring the 20" prototypes back PLEASE
wait after further review it does have the chrome window, PUKE...

Honda's old AWD system works as you described in the previous generation CR-V's. The updated Real Time AWD is continuously modulating power to the rear wheels. When accelerating, power is sent to the rear tires. Once the vehicle is in steady state operation, such as highway cruising, power is decoupled from the rear tires making it a FWD only to improve efficiency. This updated AWD system can be found on the current generation CR-V along with the current generation RDX.
Acura's SH-AWD system does the same, but also has torque vectoring capability. When accelerating, it will send power to the rear wheels. When accelerating and turning, it will send power to the outside rear tire. Models that have SH-AWD will show on the MID the amount of torque distributed to each corner. The VSA system will also slightly apply brakes on the inside tires. This applies to FWD models too like the TSX. The updated SH-AWD system that I think is on the current generation MDX and will be on the TLX works the same, but the components are lighter and the programming is updated.

I appreciate the linked videos. Very cool.
I agree with others that said just hold out and see what it is in the flesh. I'm not looking to get a new car in the next 2 - 3 years, so I'm fine holding out to see what is good at that point in time.

Looks good! I'm glad they got rid of most of that chrome crap. Not a fan of the hidden exhausts though. Yea, the wheels are ugly but those are the easiest things in the world to change. The important thing is the bolt pattern. I really hope they switched back to 5x114. That would really open up some nice options!

Good videos. I was under the impression that it was a mostly fwd system like I said before. Those explained it pretty well.

it looks almost identical to the prototype. mirrors you knew werent gonna stick. im disappointed they lost the rear bumper accents. im sure they will have a "sport bumper" kit to make it look a bit more like the prototype. people are rarely happy with factory wheels anyways. the car will look great in person and look stout slightly modded with a drop and wheels. im really looking forward to the interior.
its funny how its mostly tsx owners bashing this car right now in this thread. like your tsx is much a looker lol. and yes, i own a 2013 tsx as well as a 07 tl.

But I think the TSX is a nice looking car, though, and I would have never purchased a car I didn't think looked good; even to this day I still admire its design. I think the ILX isn't that bad looking either (its shortcomings for me was the interior and how it drives), I like the '09-'11 TL (I thought it looked a little more aggressive before the changes and it really stood out), the MDX is a really nice looking ride to me, etc., etc.

I Spit On You.
All cars are starting to look the same. Looks like the new Mazda 6 from the back. I do love this look though; V6 is nice.

Not a very good looking car. If I was to go car shopping tomorrow. I would not pass upon the Chevy SS. It would spank any Acura, Infinity & lexus 4 door sedan in speed & acceleration, and not just in straight line.
