6mt clutch of tsx vs accord

so last night i drove my friends 2016 honda accord 6mt (4door). the clutch felt light to press. it was effortless to engage the clutch in his accord. and then i drove my car i felt bit of an effort.
so i have been trying to figure out where is this difference stemming from.
i have 125,0000 km on my 2009 tsx. is there a way to make it light and effortless in our car.

thanks everyone

The best way would probably be to somehow make your car 7 years newer and erase the 125K km.

You are comparing a brand new car/clutch to a 7 year old car with 125k on the clutch. I think your answer is pretty clear, lol.

Replacing your clutch with genuine Honda parts will return the pedal feel to how it was when new. The higher effort may be caused by an unevenly worn throw out bearing guide sleeve. On 1G transmissions, the sleeve is a seperate, bolt on part that should be replaced when doing a clutch.

Not sure if it is seperate like that on 2G's. If it is built into the trans housing like it is on K20 transmissions (or most honda transmissions)....a good tech should be able to smooth it out.

Use honda urea grease to lube everything that needs it. That grease in particular makes a bigger difference than you think.

You'll also want them to smooth out the slave cylinder pushrod's "ball", and grease the clutch fork pivot point.

Again...a good tech will probably know all of this.
