+1 on the pedals

mainly because you lose some visibility off the Stock HIDs when you up to 6k

if ur gonna get go 6k HID, I would probably go get some Phillips bulbs like OEM. But our stock headlight are probably the best i have seen in terms of visibility. lol
So go for the pedals Defcon. And then do led footwells, and u can look down and not pay attention of not having 6k HIDs.
Also didn't Tech or somebody say the 1st gen TSX pedals work to?

i saw the TSX sports pedals which came in 3. i read that the dead pedal on the TSX is short. also i think the brake and gas pedal fits the 2nd gen.

i have to go with 6k because i have V2 VLED turn signals in 6k. the 5k stock bulbs dont match at all. also i like the bluish look. or maybe get V2 VLED turn signals in 5k?

If you are buying the OEM ones from Japan or Europe, the dead pedal will fit but it's expensive, HeelToe is selling them for $264.

StrutKing sells the 1G model for $89, the gas and brake pedals should be an exact fit; the dead pedal will not fit (too small) and you can ask them to remove it and get a $10-$15 discount. Stay away from TL pedal as the gas pedal is a bit bigger than the TSX, so it's not an exact fit.

http://www.strutking.com/products/TS...Pedal-Set.html

Personally I would stay away from the 6K bulb, I think the stock HID is plenty bright enough.

thanks.
i was looking at strutkings tsx pedals. i can make the dead pedal work if i bought these.

i just dont like the mismatching 5k stock HID and 6k turn signals.

I like the pedals so if you were to choose, that's what I would go with.

sorry about the minor thread jack ----- but does anybody have any experience installing sport pedals for a MT? I'm wondering if the 1G and the 2G pedals are the same, minus the deadpedal of course.

actually I think I just found my answer...failed to read the FAQ section on the strutking website.

FAQ:
Will this set fit my 2009+ TSX?
The footrest from this pedal set will NOT fit 2008+ models without modification to the original pedal; the accelerator, brake/clutch will however fit the 2008+ Accords. If you wish to purchase just the set without footrest please email us.

lol I have 6k iJDM switchbacks as well. VLED had 5k switchbacks but they were backordered like forever. I do alot of driving at night, so I need as much visibility as possible. lol Ill get 5k switchbacks if i was u, but if you get 6k HID, make sure you get good bulbs that are like made in Germany not China. Phillips LINK
its balls of $$$$$ but I think its worth it.

HOLY CRAP...220 for bulbs...at that price you can grab 22 pairs of China ebay ones...in the event that they crap out on you, you get 22 tries to test out at least. in my experience i haven't had any issues with china stuff so 10 bucks vs 220 for me would be a no brainer...i like my china shit....hahah

American obsession with cheap shit. lol But ya, Ill agree with that your reasoning. Quality does however manner sometimes. You dont wanna be like Killer, and have his cheap chinese HID fogs blow up.

Well you can get the replacement HiD bulbs off of ddmtuning for 15 bucks. That's what I did when I ordered my 6000k HID fogs from them

So get that and the pedals =)

defcon,

i got my 6k hid bulbs from hidextra when they had one of their sales going on. I've had it for a year already and they are still working. For the price, I think it was like $25, is really good quality.

as for pedals, you could consider this style Unique style racing.

http://www.uniquestyleracing.com/acclinrsxtlt.html

For the same price, it comes with the dead pedal and comes with the option to have it engraved with the Acura logo. I don't know about fitment though.

also the accelerator pedal has the rubber grip while strut king doesn't.

I wished I have checked out this site before I got mine.

Just a word on the HIDs, if you want 'blueish', 8000k is blueish. 6000k is pure white. I'm planning on going on Friday to get my foggies and low beams in 6000k probably. I too like the blueish look so was thinking 8000k but that'll get me too much attention from the cops. The dude is charging me 50 bucks for the bulbs only so I might be cheap and grab a pair off eBay for less and DIY - it's just plug and play right?

As for the foggies, I might just get him to do it for me cause he's a friend's friend.

Also, are the pedals for the Acura TSX the same as the Accord Euro? They should be right? Same car, different name..

You are correct, although the dead pedal would not fit the RHD cars from Australia or the UK, but the gas and brake pedals are the same.

FWIW, my OEM sports pedals accelerator pedal has no rubber grip/insert either, but the dead pedal does and it's a one piece replacement unit and not a cover to put on top of the stock dead pedal.

i just had a really weird exchange with one strutkings sales people.

me: I have a 2010 tsx MT, your website says the 08 pedal set will fit, how much for the set without the deadpedal

him: look at the TL set

me: so are you saying that I should buy the TL set, or that that is the price?

him: the TL set will fit. I will give you a good price if you pay through paypal.

me: Are you sure it will fit, I've heard that the gas pedal is slightly off.

him: Okay, well now I'm not sure. But if you're not satisfied with your purchase, we'll pay for your return shipping and give you 100% refund.

^....WTF.......i guess I'll order it....
