went from base to type-s front.
the insurance covered all the base part cost. anything extra that the type-s bumper came with I payed out of pocket. (i scored cheap from ebay, friends, etc.)
so, the base TL never came with fog lights in that location.
for now, it is a functional air intake opening, forcing air into that location.
ultimately, i'd like to retrofit some Ford Fusion projector fogs.
but baby steps.
I'll need to finish off the rear with the aspec kit and first and foremost fix the wheel set up.
i threw em on and running into slight problems.
but, im buying lots of shit in the next week to fix it.

I want a D800, but its like $3k. Don't know anything about photography, but I'm tired taking car pics with my cell phone. Only so much you can do. I heard the D3i was a good beginner camera.

Get a d7100 w/ kit lens.
If you are just starting you won't even be able to setup the d800 or d3. And there is NO auto mode. Also, the files from my d800 are 40MB each, so there's that issue of storage.

iCrap is right... don't get a pro camera when you're not yet a pro. Once you understand the limitations of your beginners' DSLR and its kit lens, you should move onto adding more lenses to your arsenal before even considering buying cameras that are $3k+
The pro cameras offer things that you might "need" when you've fully met and understand the limitations of your current DSLR (such as the quality of high ISO, FPS, etc.). I don't think the D3 even has a pop-up flash (which I now no longer use ever since I've started developing my flash photography skill). So yeah... baby steps.
