Has anybody done an AP2 Exhaust tip swap? Does it require welding? I got my factory tips off and they are completely smashed up... my guess is this car was backed into a curb at some point..

Pebble flying at 80mph at my head, saved only by windshield, but now has giant spider crack in it. Most likely have to get a new OEM windshield unless they risk patching up the crack on the driver side which most people won't do. Ugh. After a 20 hour drive too. Terrible. And to think I survived it all when I had to drive through burning dry grass on the road and 110 degree death heat. Wished someone was filming on the other end of my car coming out of the burning fire though. Bet it was cool looking even though I was terrified inside.

Insurance should cover it. Big pebble? http://www.glass.net/auto-glass-info...placement.html

pay the windshield deductible from your insurance. its usually low like $250.
Demand OEM acoustic glass.

you dont need to etch anything in the glass. the OEM glass will come without the Acura etch and without your vin.
but who cares? you have new OEM glass!

Deductible is $500 and Acura online parts store shows OEM glass at $1k...

Insurance will pay for the lowest possible quote they can get from their "recommended partners". Anything over that if you go any other route will have to be paid out of pocket.

What's wrong with safelite?

Insurance people aren't that smart. They just read off scripts so no use arguing with them. I'll just argue with the glass guy they are sending instead, and tell him that I'll take OEM only and if he comes with non-OEM, I'll just send him back to get the proper one.

Really weird how I have to write the deductible cheque to the third party glass guy and not the insurance though.

I hate rocks.

I thought insurance was supposed to pay without a deductible just because it's a safety hazard and in some states you may get a ticket or a fix-it ticket.

^^ There's a local guy here and an infrequent A'ziner who loves jacked up rims over cash money. I was trying to be fair and work out deal on a set of mismatching Te37s which requires refinishing, curb repair and no center caps.

Anybody who did an S2000 Exhaust tip swap know if it requires welding, or just uses the bolt on the bottom like the TSX?

Direct fit bolt on. Just make sure you lube the bolts and and leave it on for a couple hours in case any rust has formed with the stock ones.

That's what i figgured... i don't think it does anything. Does the CTE intake make any difference though?

TSXs are so rare that no one carries parts for them on site.

I need to stop watching these types of vids:

Hmm.... just realized today that the TSX does not show song info when playing via Bluetooth. Always thought it was my phone, but now that it has AVRCP support, it is definitely the car

I remember when Acura used to be all about technology first.

Yeah mine is the same way, always play songs via bluetooth but I'm just happy the skip songs work so it's alright.

Have you also noticed if you use a Flash drive for music, you can't go back to the previous song if you're in shuffle all mode?

Same with bluetooth. Pressing back just goes back to the beginning of the song. Maybe it's a shuffle all thing, that's all I listen to on my phone.
