However, I got the news yesterday which wasn't a surprise but nonetheless, no one can fully be prepared for the news. I am fine though. Can't say I didn't see it coming. All I can do now is make sure I have the kids and let Karma and God deal with her shit. So.. Looks like I will be getting another MDX again

Hmm.. let's try to compare with what I paid for mine used:

Mine: 2009
Yours: 2011

Mine: 48k miles
Yours: 22k miles

Mine: White 6spd tech
Yours: White 6spd tech

The asking price on mine was $26k. I talked it down to $23k out the door. So, they had to make a profit off me. They probably bought the car from the previous owner somewhere around the 20k mark I would assume.

So being that yours is newer, and less miles, I would say you should probably hope to get somewhere around 25k for it? Not really sure though I'm not an expert at this.

BUT -- beware. They will tell you that it's a 6 speed and therefore it won't sell too easily because peopole prefer automatics and they will try to lowball the price for you. Yet, when they sell it, they will market it at a higher price tag for being a rarity.

Just do the research. Go on autotrader, cars.com, etc and see what cars with similar specs are going for.

Thanks everyone for your support and advice on the car! I am over it and moving on with the kids. In the mean time, I may be able to keep the TSX as my Dad's 15 yr. old Outback shagg'n-wagon is starting to show signs of wear (175K) lol. Talked to my brother last night, he's willing to go 50/50 with me on a new MDX for pops and I can borrow it from him from time to time if I need it With the folks being 10 mins down the road, I will be using it quite a bit

 

just borrow Ceb's wagon when you need it! hahaha

compare the wagon VS the MDX, you'll be suprised how much you can actually fit in the wagon. my mom wanted the MDX, and 2 college kids means periodic moves from one living arangement to another. everyone agreed the wagon would work just fine, but the dealer was offering the MDX for only a lil more than the wagon. no deals on the wagon due to tsunami at the time, the lease came out to 450-500 a month. paid 599 a month for the MDX

 

You know who crazy the winter weather is around here. It's hit or miss. With the MDX I don't have to worry about major snow storms. Secondly, it gives pops a legit vehicle to pull his bass boat.

 

It's so nice to do that for your dad! He's lucky to have such a great son.

We will try and surprise him. But pops is old school. Not one for extravagance.. We will probably get yelled at first for getting him a luxury suv vs. a base Highlander or Pilot which was what he was looking at.
