2g Tranny Fluid/New Owner

Hello everyone!
Just picked up an 09 tsx this past weekend. It's a very fun car to drive. I have a question regarding the transmission fluid. I noticed on the car fax that the previous owner had a transmission fluid change at a Jiffy lube shop so im pretty sure they did not use honda transmission fluid. I want to change the oil to have some peace of mind. Should I do a 3x3 drain and refill? Do you think that would be enough to get that aftermarket oil out of the system? Should I be concerned? Please share your thoughts!

it will be hard to get everything out but 3x3 would get our most of old fluid, you can do single changes every second oil change for few times to ensure its genuine fluid in there.

The 3x3 change method is terribly wasteful, but it's also the only way to get most of the old stuff out. Be sure to drive the car between drains.

Thanks guys, I definitely feel the 3x3 will be a waste. That stuff ain't cheap. I picked up a 12pk of DW-1 for about 86 bucks. I guess I'll do the 3x3 on the TSX, and the 3x1 on the MDX. I may just stock up on another case since its a pretty good deal for 12qts.

I was looking to do the 3x3 cause my tranny feels like shit. How long do I wait between changes.

I did mine at 25k which is admittedly early, but i drive long steep grades all the time so whether thats being proactive or wasteful im not sure. But i will probably try and drive this car 150k so i tend to care for it with that in mind
