2013 Graphite TSX

Hello Gents,

I've been lurking on the forum for about a year now since the purchase of my TSX checking out everyone's rides, reading posts, and researching mods as much as possible.

One thing I've hated about this car of course are the wheels, so that's the first thing I am looking to tackle. I'll probably ask tire fitment questions mostly since I've finally chosen the set... Avant Garde M220's. Still struggling whether to go 18 or 19, and I will probably stagger my summer set.

I have NO plans on lowering the car (I know, I know ), for the following reasons:

1. Only a year old, driven 7K miles... So I'll be covered on the factory warranty for a while
2. I have a house we are remodeling, and ALL our extra income goes into that (with the exception of what I saved for wheels)
3. Daily driver.
4. Chicago winters
5. I have a wife, and we both have expensive taste in furnishings, and general other items, so I rather spend the money on that

Sorry for the list, but this acura forum really frowns upon no wheels before drop... I just have other reasons I choose not to go down that route

I do plan on doing a slight tint, the side skirt, and just keeping the car looking good for as long as possible.

What I have yet to find are good pictures of these cars with 19's and stock suspensions (even on google searches) with the "ideal" tire profile. I am horrible at wheel fitting, so I sure I'll ask a couple of questions on that topic in the wheel forum.

Hopefully I can post a couple of pics soon.

I think you can get away with 18s with a beefier tire than what people conventionally go with if they were lowered. There are some threads on here with people having 18s without a drop and looking somewhat decent. However, with 19s your car will look like an SUV without a drop.

My suggestion is, if you want to keep your stock ride height and still want new wheels, get 18s.

I believe we have even worse winters here in Toronto, but hey, coilovers are height adjustable Readjust the height when you swap in your winter shoes.

^Good example. IMO 18s should've been on the 2G TSX from the start.

You can pretty much get whatever size you want if you aren't lowered. However, the M220s are WAY too flashy to not be lowered. They are going to look a little ridiculous at stock height.
