2012 TSX Timing Chain Stretching

2012 TSX Timing Chain Stretching
-2012 TSX 2.4L 4 cyl with 75k miles
-regular oil changes and all service done at dealersihp
-VTC actuator replaced at 4 years due to "grinding" at start issue
-last few years I've seen oil mysteriously go missing, seems to be a known issue with these engines
Last month I got P0341 and VSA 83, which appear to be a valve timing issue. CEL went away the next morning and I never brought it in. Last week CEL came on again, but went off the next morning. However, the car feels "sluggish" when accelerating.
Brought it into dealership today. They said the timing chain is stretched and needs to be replaced. Timing Chain and tensioner parts and labor: $2,100. Proactive VTC actuator: $350
This appears to be a known issue with the TSX engines. Couple of questions:
-The VTC actuator was replaced 6 years ago; could it have already caused damage before it was replaced which now led to the timing chain failure?
-I told the dealership that I felt the car was "eating oil" about 2 years ago, and they said "just watch it." I never really followed up, because then Covid hit and I didn't drive much.
-This seems to be a known issue with the model.
-A timing chain should not fail at 75k on a car that is regularly serviced, at the dealership especially.
Thoughts on how to get Acura to goodwill some or all of the repair?

Yeah, of course. But the K24 engines are known for oil eating, plus I've already had the VTC actuator replaced so who knows what kind of damage was done with the original (crappy) and replaced (also crappy) actuator.
Trying to get Acura to cover at least part of the repair...
