2012 TSX to 2014 Mazda3 S Touring

Yes, I have been saved from locking my car with the FOB in it or the trunk, but I have never had it fall out of my pocket.

Yeah i've done it several times. The car will proximity lock but only if you have the key with you, not if it falls into the seat and you walk away.

There is no proximity lock on Acura. If you leave the key in the trunk, the trunk will auto open and the car will beep in anger.
Chevy cruze has a proximity lock and it also will beep if you close the door with the key inside.

You're the one in a million. That has never happened to me in all my 34 years of driving. I leave the car I either press the lock button on the fob, in the car, or put the key in the lock. The car can't correct for you just walking away because you're counting an auto lock.

There is a relock timer if I am not mistaken.

I'd be too paranoid to trust a proximity lock. I'm double and triple checking my car before I leave lol.

Odd. The G37 didn't have that when I was looking at them. It did have a relock feature (just like the TSX) where the cat will lock if you've unlocked it via keyfob but haven't opened the door.
Every G37 I looked at had a spot on the doorhandle that you had to touch to make it lock the door.

I kept my '04 TSX until 200K miles. Reason I kept her that long is 'cause she was damn fun to drive. My '12 TSX is still as reliable, though less joyful to toss around. I'm going to visit my Mazda dealer, which is conveniently next to an Acura dealer, to paw over the car again. Thanks for the replies.

Recently had a chance to drive the Mazda3. It is a nice little car, but gets pretty expensive pretty quickly. You can read my full thoughts via the link below, but at nearly $28k, I feel like there are other cars worth looking at, especially ones that are more fun to drive.

After ten years in a TSX (starting with an '04), I've traded in my '12 for a '15 Mazda6 GT. I will miss the note that the K24 sings at high RPMs. But right now, the Mazda6 fulfills my needs with a growing family and the need for a higher MPG commuter.

30+ for a Mazda? I couldn't do it. Good luck to you though.

That's not to shabby then, as long as you like it, that's what matters, right? I just thought in that range there are a lot of options to consider.
How much did they offer for your TSX trade-in?
