2012 Civic SI to get TSX K24...

http://www.autoblog.com/2011/02/17/2...-five-flavors/

Hopefully this will spark some aftermarket engine support that can spill over to us.

Ugh. Now I can't even SAY that my TSX has more HP over the Si to my friends who think horsepower is everything

Didn't they discontinue the RSX because it was "product overlapping" with the Civic?

Dunnu bout you guys, but I hate it when the lines get blurred like this.

They might as well make an Acura variation of the Civic. Like bring the CSX to America.

lol.

Honda is so dead. 3HP bump on this new Si. Same motor that they've been using in the TSX since 2003.

At least some manufacturers are still making appealing cars...

Well my accord is the same engine as your tsx so your Argument about overlapping is unlogical.

Although the K20Z3 seemed like a nice engine, the change is probably for the increase in torque. A naturally aspirated 2.0L engine to crank out 197hp @7800 and 139ft-lb @6100 is pretty cool in my opinion.

By switching over to the k24 that is used in the TSX is probably the most economical option to increase performance.

There are a million cars with more horsepower than your TSX. Its not always about horsepower though. Fuck your friends, ive attracted way more pussy with my tsx than i would have with a civic. Girls like luxury, not horsepower, and we got that by the boatloads B)

Haha I know that. It was just fun seeing them all flustered because the TSX did have more HP and Torque then the Si.

It looks ugly to me, I was sad to have traded in my 07 Si. I wonder if this hints towards a power bump for the next gen 4 cylinder TSX.

True, but thank God your TSX doesn't look like the 2012 Civic Si. That thing is hideous.
